M2H Statement of Faith

God is and has always been. He exists as three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in one all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present God, the Father. He is holy, just, compassionate, faithful, and desires a personal relationship with us. He created humanity in His image and sent His Son to redeem us and renew all things.

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who has existed with the Father and the Holy Spirit since eternity past. He was born of a virgin, fully God & fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. He is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, sent by Jesus after He rose from the dead, to empower the Church and give spiritual gifts. He indwells and empowers believers to live a godly life, guides us into truth, comforts us, and convicts us of sin.

We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writings. It reveals His will for salvation and is the ultimate authority for human knowledge and endeavor.

We believe salvation is a free gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of the dead and eternal life.

We believe the church is the body of Christ, comprised of all who have been justified by God's grace through faith in Christ alone. We are called to serve and love one another.

We believe God’s will is for us to become more like Jesus. The Christian life is an ongoing process of repenting from sin, submitting to and obeying God's Word and Spirit and loving God and His children. All of these work together to develop Christ's character within us.

We believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ and the ultimate triumph of God's kingdom. His return demands constant expectancy, motivating believers to godly living, sacrificial service, and energetic mission.

We believe in the spiritual gifts that the Holy Spirit has given to the church to build and sanctify it, and to confirm the power of the Gospel. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical guidelines.

We believe that all people will experience eternity after the final judgment. We believe Heaven, in the presence of the Lord and Hell, an eternity of conscious suffering, are real places and are the only two options for our eternal destination. Only through justification by grace through faith in Jesus can our destination be eternity in the presence of the Lord.

We believe marriage is God-ordained. “The creator made them male and female, and said, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh” (Matthew 19:4-5). Marriage is to be an exclusive relationship, a lifelong faithful union between a man and a woman. This relationship between a husband and wife should parallel the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:23-30).
